Teacher of Geography & History

Stour Valley Community School is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Geography & History from September 2022. The successful candidate will be highly motivated to achieving the best possible outcomes for our students and will be a committed team player who is determined to make a significant contribution to raising attainment across the Geography & History Departments.

Student Support Officer

Local Government Pay Scale 5 from £20,852 pro rata

Required for 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm (3.30pm on Friday).

The successful candidate will support the Year Leaders in providing pastoral care and behaviour support to the students. As well as supporting the systems that will enable the school to improve on the base figures on attendance and truancy as set by the Government.

If you are passionate about supporting students, have strong communication skills and thrive on working in a busy but pleasant environment, this is a great opportunity for you.

You will need:

  • Experience of working with children in a professional setting.

  • The ability to write detailed reports, letters and complete complex returns.

  • Ability to establish respectful and trusting relationships with children, their families, carers and other adults.

  • Good organisational skills to manage your time effectively.

Cleaners Required

We are looking for Cleaners on a temporary basis to work 3p.m. until 6p.m. Monday to Friday at Stour Valley Community School

£9.25 per hour
