Students from Stour Valley Community School helped plant 450 saplings in Clare last Friday, in what will one day be a wood. The students, from Stour Valley's CEC (Climate Emergency Committee) have planted trees on the grounds of the school before, but this is their first contribution to the wider community.  The CEC comprises 25 students, all passionate about making a difference. In January, a further 450 trees will be planted to increase the size of the woods. The field where these trees are being planted was gifted to Clare Town Council by David Byford, to be leased to the park to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The area will be known as Charlie's Wood, as Charlie is a Byford name
